I have always been a dog lover, all my life I have had dogs. I believe I have a strong bond with them. I know there is nothing better than a dog (other than an adorable puppy of course!).
Puppies are forever not just for Christmas, we all know that phrase-don’t we-and I wouldn’t be surprised if you got a puppy for Christmas like me. I got an ADORABLE puppy named Frankie, he was a sweet n’ cute surprise, I got him exactly one week before Christmas (unexpectedly). He came from Chester, I didn’t know until the day I got him, I thought I was just going to Chester Zoo but then I got a Beautiful photo book of a cute puppy.
He is a black and tan Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a breed closely related to the King Charles Spaniel. A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has a longer snout than it’s close relative, the King Charles Spaniel.
Before I start blogging about Frankie, I need to tell you some important facts about The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel:
- In the US, they are the 18th most loved dog breed
- It has a gorgeous silky, smooth coat that comes in four beautiful colours:
Blenheim (ginger & white), tri-colour (black, white, ginger), black and tan (Like Frankie!), and Ruby (plain ginger)
- They are known for being friendly, affectionate and good with children
- They are not good watch dogs, they love everyone!
- They are quick at learning and training Frankie learned within weeks
Maybe you will get a puppy,

Well done for uploading your first post!
I love the way your love for Frankie has inspired you to write and share what you’ve learnt about Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. This is a great introduction to what I assume (correctly / incorrectly?) will be a series of posts about life with Frankie.
Remember that you can edit this post, if you wish. You can also insert a link to this introduction (thewritingweb.org/the-cavalier-king-charles-spaniel-my-dog) to future posts.
Keep writing!
