Hey guys, I am going to do the Paris Metro. Sorry if I haven’t done a metro history in a while. Enjoy!
It started to build in November 1898. The first was called Porte Maillot – Porte de Vincennes. It didn’t open until on the 19th July 1900 during “Paris World’s Fair.” All of the stations were made by Hector Guimard. And there are 86 still used today! There are 303 stations, 241km long and its daily ridership is 4.5 million. It is operated by Regie Autonome des Transports Parisens (RATP). It only runs in the metropolitan area of Paris. The busiest station is Gare Du Nord with 96,148,975 people. There are 16 lines and some “bis” or secondary lines which are 3B and 7B. They use MF (materiel fer) and MP (materiel penu) stocks. Only on line 14 has glass doors on the entire system.
Line 13 is the longest line on the Paris Metro, has 32 stops and opened in 2008.
3bis is the shortest line on the Paris Metro with 4 stops and 1.3KM.
Ok, guys there may be another part of this. I don’t know.

Thank you for this history of the Paris metro system, UndergroundMaster67.
I 🧡 your enthusiasm for trains and rail systems, you’ve even inspired me to take a closer look at the London tube. 🚆 You really are a superstar blogger. 🤩
Have you seen this list of central London journeys that could be quicker to walk? 🚶🏾♀️

I wonder who first came up with the idea of underground train travel and what this might look like in the future? 🤔
Keep writing – I can’t wait to read what you come up with next!
