Based on a childhood story…
Mr Dinner was a small purple bear. He was furry and cute, and he travelled the country as part of his job in the civil service, but there was another side to Mr Dinner…
One day, Mr Dinner was attending a conference by the seaside, and he had an evening free. After walking around town he decided to go disco dancing on the pier, as in his opinion he was an excellent dancer.
Mr Dinner was happily shaking a move on the dancefloor when he felt beady eyes watching him. He spun around to find his nemesis, happily watching him…it was the seagull.
“What are you looking at?” Mr Dinner shouted at the seagull, who just continued to stare.
Mr Dinner could feel himself getting more and more irate. “What are you looking at?” Mr Dinner shouted again, but the seagull continued to stare, the disco lights reflecting in his unblinking eyes.
Mr Dinner could feel his anger rising so he did the only thing that his furious brain could come up with. He lunged at the seagull, pulling him onto the dancefloor. All the other dancers could see was wings and furry purple legs flying everywhere.
“Pretty impressive dance moves”, one dancer said, as everyone watched the spectacle.
Just when Mr Dinner felt he was finally getting the upper hand he found that his legs were no longer moving. He was being held in a vice like grip by a policeman.
“Around here we do not tolerate this sort of behaviour. We don’t wanted a murder on the dancefloor”, the policeman said throwing his head back with laughter. Mr Dinner threw the policeman a disgusted look for the appalling joke as he was thrown into the back of a police van.
As Mr Dinner looked out of the window, he saw the seagull, who was now crackling away with glee as he was presented with a huge dance trophy.
Mr Dinner was held overnight in the police station, but if you thought that had taught him a lesson you’d be wrong. Mr Dinner had another side to his cute and cuddly character, and vengeance would be his….

Hi Booklover2,
I really think Mr Dinner needs to get a restraining order against that seagull but all in all an entertaining evening at the disco. Thanks for sharing! 🕺🏾 That policemen needs to be locked up for his ‘sense of humour’, though… 👮🏾♂️😶
