Chapter 1

My name is Lee Bron and this world is strange because everyone has powers except me. My parents left me because they knew I didn’t have any kind of powers. I mean, why would they do that just because I didn’t have some stupid power? I live in my Grandpa’s house. When I was little, my parents just left me on a road and Grandpa saw me and picked me up. He deserves more than a thank you. I mean he could have just left me there.

I wasn’t just thrown away when I was born, I was with my parents until I was eight. I had cousins but not anymore. They were murdered. They were murdered by an annoying man, who had the best power in the world. His power was…

‘’HEY KID DINNER’S READY!’’ shouted Grandpa. He shouted because he was downstairs. I was starving, so I sprinted down and asked, “What’s for dinner?”

‘’ Uhm… pizza,’’ replied Grandpa. I loved pizza. Oh yeah, my Grandpa was a bit like me.  His power was … good tasting power. At least it was better than having nothing!

Chapter 2

The person who had the best power in the city lived near to me. Amazingly, he was probably the tallest person in the world but that’s not a power! You see, his power was that he could One Punch anyone. Everyone in this city was afraid of him and not even his parents would go near him. Trust me, he was evil. If anyone didn’t listen to him, he simply killed them. I was purposely going to his mansion to destroy him without having any powers!

“Bye Grandpa, I’m going somewhere,” I said, quickly ducking my head into the living room.

”Where are you g-” but before he could finish his question, I was already running across the road. I had to avoid that question, because if my Grandpa knew that I was going near Chad, [that’s the One Punch Guy’s name] he would give me a terrible punishment. That was definitely something to avoid.

I reached Chad’s house and as I approached, he saw me and asked, ” Hey what are you doin’ here?”

I was trying to be cool so I replied, ” I am here to kill you!”

”Don’t talk nonsense and run back the way you came!” he said, like he knew everything. A citizen of the village noticed me arguing with Chad and ran away, because he thought he was going be killed by one of us. To be honest, I thought Chad might beat me but I would never give up.

”No more talk, let’s go into fighting shall we?” he asked. I didn’t say anything and ran straight towards him. Because he was tall, I climbed up on him and punched him in the stomach. ”OUCH!!!” Chad shouted at me. Now I’m going to try on you, Kidddd!”

Chapter 3

He almost punched me but I was not going down that easily. Even though he was tall, it was still hard to get on a hit on him. ”One punch!” he yelled. I didn’t know what that meant until I knew very well that he was using his powers. He shoved me all the way through his house.

”Urgghh… I will… never…give…up…I…will…be back…soon!” I said, it was almost like I was about to die. As soon as I gave that speech, I ran as if I was scared of him (Which I certainly was, at that time).

When I arrived home, Grandpa slowly walked over until he was opposite me. Straight away he asked, “Where did you go? Why are you so bloody? Answer me now, Lee!” Grandpa sounded like he was about to kill me.

“Uhhh…uhh.. I tripped so many times, because my shoes were slippery,” I said casually pretending like I didn’t just get destroyed. He told me to take a nap, so after a few minutes I did. “It really hurts,” I cried to myself.

After a couple of hours, I woke up with a really loud sigh. As expected, Grandpa was not talking to me, so I tried to explain why I was hurt. He said he didn’t want to hear it. This wasn’t fair. Every time I tried to explain what happened he said, ‘I don’t wanna hear it,” even though he asked me a lot of questions. Chad did hit me pretty hard but all I cared about right then was that I was the first person ever not to get one punched by Chad. That had to be an achievement right?

However, I couldn’t just leave the poor villagers alone. I decided to train and become even stronger than One Punch Guy. I wanted to be a hero, so all the villagers would treat me as their son.

That was my dream.

Chapter 4

So, I needed to train and for me to train, I needed a good coach. But I was not just going to find a regular coach, I needed a coach who was even stronger than Chad. I thought I would ask my friend who had the power to see everyone’s power, which was extremely helpful. First, I had to train by myself though. I punched my pillow and even kicked it. I repeated the same thing again and again.

After a while, I started to do push-ups, star jumps and all sorts of exercises so that I could build huge muscles. Punching the door, my hands were covered in blood. Before Grandpa could ask what I wanted for lunch, I rushed out to my friend’s house. I was running as fast as Usain Bolt.

When I reached his house, he unlocked the door like it was his first time seeing me. “Yo what’s up?” he asked.

“Hi…uhm I need to ask you something very important,” I said a bit anxiously.

“First let’s go inside and chat even if it’s very important,” he said, as I gave a loud sigh.

“NO, I DON’T WANT TO COME INSIDE I NEED SOMETHING REALLY IMPORTANT!” Please! I need a good coach, tell me where he is,” I begged.

“There is someone coming along this road right now, so hurry up and go talk to him” he suggested, shutting the door without even saying bye. I noticed that he was right, so I ran towards the coach: a black-haired man with impressive muscles.

“Hey can you please train me?” I asked immediately.

His mouth fell wide open, “First of all, how do you I’m a coach? And second of all, how old are you?” he enquired.

“Questions later, training now,” I replied in a robotic voice.

He explained calmly, “Fine, I have a power called Ultra Instinct, where I can dodge all the attacks people give.”

“Oh that’s a really cool power and that’s why you’re a good coach,” I commented.

”I’m a bit tired, so let’s get the training stuff started tomorrow, ok?” he suggested, making sure that I was okay with that.

Chapter 5

One day later, I was heading out to meet the coach because he said that we would train that day. He told me he would come to Nelgarde Road and take me to a training place. The only reason I was doing these practises and stuff like this was because I wanted to save the villagers and have the villagers think I was precious to them. I was going to save the village with the assistance of goofy Chad!

“More like dumb Chad,” I muttered almost silently. “Where is he? I’ve been waiting for like fifteen minutes.” Because I’m impatient, I was so close to going back to my house disappointed.

“HEY LEE! WAIT! I’M HERE!” a voice suddenly shouted. I did a U-turn, giving my new coach a dirty look. “Why are you late, Coach?” I questioned him straight away.

“I got stuck in traffic, my apologies,” he lied.

“I know that’s an excuse, but alright.”

“Alright Lee, I’ll take you to the best training place, be prepared to develop a six-pack and much, much bigger muscles!” he said, like he was threatening me.

Chapter 6

After two days of imagining what it would be like to be a hero, today was the day! Coach said he would take me to the secret place that no one knew about except for him. I called Coach and it took him like four dial calls, which was annoying. He finally answered his phone. The worst part was that he just blankly told me he was busy.

When I asked him what he was doing, he said it was none of my business. I was prepared for him to take me to the Secret Place that day but NO!! He said that he would take me tomorrow. I cut off the call and said to myself, “This guy is unique, how is he a coach? He’s always going on about things like: Come On!”

After my Grandpa had listened silently to me rage for a while, he finally called me and asked, “I’ve been keeping an eye on you… are you fine? Is there anything I can help you with?”

I gave Grandpa a silent sigh because if I gave him a loud sigh, it would be the same as being dead. “Grandpa, I’m trying to make this short so I’ll say this… I’m trying to achieve my dream.” I replied and he didn’t move a single bit of his body.

His face glistened like the sun, almost as if he was having a heart-attack, he giggled and asked, “May I know what your dream is?”

‘Why was he speaking in this old-fashioned way?’ I thought but replied as breezily as I could, “Nope, not until I achieved it.” I still couldn’t believe that Coach – more like a weird guy – just left me in the middle of the road. My phone started ringing and it scared me. It was Coach. “Yes, Coach?” I answered.

“My mentor wants to teach you and he’s stronger than me… actually he’s the strongest in the world, his name is Satoru Gojo. I’ll call you tomorrow ok? See ya!” he said without emotion, like a description in a test. I wondered about the name Satoru Gojo. But, if he was the strongest, I liked him already.

Chapter 7

I wondered more about this Satoru Gojo guy. I wondered what powers he had. I suddenly remembered that Coach had said that today would be the day he’d finally take me to the Secret Place. I was actually surprised that Coach had called me, because normally he was too busy.

But, he wasn’t busy today. I got dressed, I looked so dripped out. I ran to the road where I first met Coach, because he told me to meet him there. I was waiting and waiting and was about to call him, when I heard a voice, “HEY LEE, I’M SATORU GOJOOOOOOOO!” shouted a blind-folded man.

“Oh, Hi Satoru Gojo.” I greeted him, open-mouthed. I wondered how this blind-folded guy could be a strong master. ”Where is my coach … your top student?” I tested him.

“He was willing to come but I don’t need him. He is useless,” he said matter-of-factly. “I don’t want to waste any training time, let’s go to that place he told you about.”

Chapter 8

I was impatient and couldn’t believe that I had waited twenty-five minutes to go this stupid, dirty place and I told Gojo so. “Alright, this is the place and let me show you what powers I have, in case you don’t believe me,” said Satoru Gojo, feeling ready to go Super Saiyan. “Also, from now on, don’t call me ‘Gojo’, call me Master,” he commanded.

I desperately wanted him to stop talking and show me the powers he had. I had just had enough of hearing his voice. Sadly, he did not stop talking. He went on and on.

“Ok, now look. This is called Output Blue, it takes your opponent through another universe where they can’t breathe and they suffocate, because there’s no oxygen. This is really useful if you’re fighting a pro enemy, because I’m the only one that is capable of the limitless technique I’m about to show you. This is called Reversal Red. This technique just reverses the power your enemy uses to attack you. You’re going to find this really cool. If you mix Reversal Red and Output Blue you get this powerful technique called Hollow Purple, this literally extinguishes your enemy’s body!”

Chapter 9

I had to admit that Gojo Master did have pretty cool abilities and I couldn’t wait to learn the techniques he had described. I wondered why his abilities were named after the colours: red, blue and purple. However, the best technique he talked about, in my opinion, was a move called Domain Expansion, because of the way it made a circle and when you said the words it just felt so satisfying.

I called Gojo Master to ask when I could fully learn all the moves and he promised he would teach me in about three weeks. I mean, that was not bad… I thought it was going to take six months or at least a year! When I heard the good news, my mouth opened so wide and my eyeballs felt like they were about to burst. I basically said a quick, “Ok,” to all the agreements he listed, like: work hard, concentrate and things like that. Just to make really sure, I shouted ‘Domain Expansion’ and was hoping it would create a circle but it didn’t. “I never give up,” I said determinedly and immediately tried Output Blue, hoping it would create a humongous circle. But it didn’t.

Chapter 10

It had been five days since I had talked to Gojo Master, I couldn’t wait for the next three weeks to begin.  I knew they would go by like a flash. A minute later, I slowly walked downstairs, glaring at the unclean floor and that’s when I heard a loud sound. It felt like someone was screaming for help.

Shivering, I walked two steps forward and when I witnessed what had happened, my face turned red. “No… NO… CHADDDDDDDDDD! COME HERE YOU ANNOYING BRAT!” I roared like a lion in his ugly face.

Laughing, he giggled, “Ha ha ha! Not you again… aren’t you the one that I beat up long ago!!?”

Holding back my anger, I responded, “Correct but I am way stronger than I was before and I’ll be WAYYYYYY stronger than you in just another two and a half weeks. I’m going to knock you down straight after I’ve learned all the cool moves. Just you wait. I closed my mouth and sprinted towards him, punching him in the face.

“That was nothing, Little Boy, that was like one percent of my power!” boasted Chad.  I actually hated myself right then, because every time I fight someone, I kind of get scared and that’s just what I did that day. To begin with, I was bleeding and I told him to stop but he did not stop and embarrassingly, I ran away to my house and locked the front door.

Thank God my Grandpa had popped out to get some groceries or else he would’ve beaten me up until I was dead – even though I nearly was! I was wondering when Gojo Master was going to teach me, I needed the super training really quick, so that I could beat Chad up and make him embarrassed. Then, I realised that I was bleeding so much that I needed to take a shower before Grandpa returned or else… you know what would happen. The thing was, my knees hurt so badly that I couldn’t even stand up.

Chapter 11

My first thought as I woke up was: ‘Today is gonna be one of the most joyful day of my life because guess what?… Gojo Master said that I’m gonna learn all the cool moves and be one of the strongest heroes out there! Today!’ At first, I thought this power learning thing was going be boring but it actually wasn’t. ‘I’m going be one of the best heroes in the world and my Grandpa will be extremely proud of me.’

By the way Gojo Master had been pretty negative, telling me that there was only a 70% chance that this might work out. He also told me that I needed to be careful. The only thing I wanted was for Chad to be on the floor begging me to leave him alone and I wanted all the villagers to watch him die, to really suffer for murdering many, many innocent people. But once he murdered my cousins, my mind was focused on becoming the strongest hero.

A couple of minutes later, I heard a knock at the door. I opened it and there stood … GOJO MASTER! He was blind-folded.  “Hey Lee, how are you doing?” asked the Master.”

“I’m doing good and I can’t wait to learn all the cool moves you showed me!” I answered, looking him straight in the eye.

“Oh okay, let’s get to it already but I don’t want to destroy your house by performing all these moves, here. So let’s just go to the Secret Place – even though it’s not that secret,” continued the blind-folded man. Another twenty-five minutes of walking passed and we reached the place.

Chapter 12

“So first, the Reversal Red.  In order to produce this, you just have to say: “Reversal Red,” and do this,” Gojo Master continued, performing an unusual move with his hands.

I repeated the actions easily and said, “Alright, so… Reversal Red!”

“See? Now you can perform Reversal Red,” sighed Gojo Master.

“Why is it so easy to perform? I questioned him.

“Hhahahaha, I had to transfer this power into your body, that’s why you are able to perform it. You’ll never know how much it takes away from me,” revealed Gojo Master. “Lee… I can see that your muscles have grown and you’ve become way stronger than you were. I need you to realise that I am the one who is making you stronger. Just look at your great big muscles now!” giggled Gojo Master.

“I know and I’m incredibly grateful to you, Gojo Master, for making my dream true,” I commented.

“Anyway, let’s continue with the training. I’m going to teach you how to perform Domain Expansion! I am all the luck you need to achieve your dream, Lee. Trust the training.”

And that’s just what I did.
