I love to swim with my bodyboard in the chilly sea at a beach at a place called Leigh-on-Sea and ride over the waves on it. Sometimes I repeatedly jump off and then try to get back on. When I’m on my bodyboard and I’m on a big wave I am sort of scared but also excited.

I also have a snorkel mask that I use to go underwater but still breathe it is pretty fun! Also, my mum’s parents live at Leigh-on-Sea and every time I meet my granny and granddad I go to the hot beach we often meet our cousins at the beach who are a lot older than me. When I excitedly go underwater with my snorkel I can only see green water and I can hardly see my hand in front of my face.

My Granny and Granddad are very kind. If we are staying overnight then I and my brother get to sleep in a room and I think it’s a spare room, and it is the only room in their house that has a TV besides the living room and when the Olympics were going on I watched it on that television. They are also very caring but they never come to the beach because they think they are too old, although, we always go back to their house to meet them and we have fish and chips with ketchup and I like it because I like being with my grandparents. Sometimes we take our dog who is called Sylvia for walks in the dark, muddy woods. My grandparents love our dog because they used to have a dog called Sophie that was just like her like, from pictures I can tell they were the same colour, and my mum says that when Sophie got near to catching a squirrel she wouldn’t know what to do, so she’d slow down for it, just like my dog Sylvia!

Another thing I like to do at Leigh is going to a crazy theme park called Adventure Island with my cousins, it is built on a platform that’s built on the water, some rollercoasters are really high and too fast and scary. There’s one called Rage that goes upside down, I never have gone on and probably never will.

One summer we went to Norfolk I recommend it to all swimming enthusiasts. I used my snorkel mask for the first time. I really liked it and I went swimming. I saw a seal! It was not very close, and only its head could be seen but it was still an amazing sight! Also, there was a massive wave and I didn’t see it and I got really wet and we all laughed
Also, I did a backflip underwater, which made me really proud of myself.
